Mr. Scott has been practicing law in the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas for more than twenty-two years. He spent the first ten years of his legal career at two large law firms in Roanoke, before opening his own solo practice in 2010. Since opening his own office, he has assisted companies of all sizes, and many individuals, in a variety of matters, including real estate, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, general civil litigation, estate planning, and corporate law.

When not at the office, Ric enjoys exploring Virginia’s campgrounds with his wife, Melissa, in a new RV, cooking, surf fishing, and following U.Va. sports of all types.
